Re: Regency or Grande - St. Lucia

We stayed at the Regency. We did go over to the grande for drinks but I prefer the regency. We stayed in the PH and it was totally worth the money. We had a butler and that was SO worth the extra cash as we are VERY lazy and used them for everything. I have some pics in an album. FM if you need any other info. We used Royal holiday Travel in Sayville ( we use them each time we travel)

Re: Regency or Grande - St. Lucia

We stayed at the Grande in Feb. 07 in a Honeymoon Oceanview concierge suite. It was truly beautiful. We went to the other 2 resorts as well for dinner. The Regency was beautiful as well. I didn't care for the Halcyon though. It wasn't AT ALL like the Grande or Regency.

We stayed at the Grande in the Honeymoon Lagoon SwimUp Room. It was awesome. When we were there (2/05) the night life was a little lame. We went to the Regency and it seemed to be much more lively. Not sure how it would be now.

Here are some pictures I have her at work

We went in 8/06 and loved it. We stayed at the Regency, but also visited the Grande and Halcyon. We liked the atmosphere and restuarants at the Regency the best. The Grande is very nice, and does have beautiful grounds, but surprisingly a lot of people during the day was at the Regency hanging out. The only thing about the Grande is that there are vendors on its beach that offers jetskiing and parasailing (however you must pay, this is not included).

I agree with wilandnet....
We stayed at the Grande for our honeymoon and loved it! Especially the included snorkelling! We had a concierge level room...loved the included full bar in your room!
Visited Recency and Halcyon for the restaurants. Regency has the most restaurants, but also is on a very large and hilly property that requires using shuttle buses to get around.
My opinion was that the Grande had the better beach, Regency had better pool area and much more "fun"/social atmosphere. The ocean was actually quite rough at Regency. Halcyon was way too quiet and very garden-like setting for me.
You'll love either one I'm sure!!
