Registry Q for those who did BBB and BRU

How did you spread out your registries? I am not sure where people will buy more from. Should I register the big stuff in both places and take it off the other registry if/when it is bought?

I am lost! Chat Icon

mich - do you even have BBB by you?

I would just go for BRU - this way if you have returns and things like that it won't be a problem for you in FL...

Yep-we have one in Coral Springs, 25 minutes away, and I like the store better! That's why we are doing both.

Re: Registry Q for those who did BBB and BRU

I did not register for big items at both places because both stores don't carry the same patterns and what not. So i picked which big items i liked most and registered for them accordingly. Then....i registered for the other items but tried to keep them in categories. For example.....all of my bedding is at BRU....all of my bath and grooming is at BBB....all of my car related items are at BBB and all of my feeding items are at BRU. It took a while but i like the way i grouped everything. Then....i registered for diapers and wipes at both.....as well as onesies and little toys.

My invitations just went out so i have no idea if people are going to prefer one over the other. I have a feeling that my Queens guests are going to favor BRU and my Nassau guests are going to purchase at both since the two stores are minutes from each other.

Okay, makes sense. I wasn't completely sure what to do because most of my guests come from Suffolk County, but many are in the Western area, which is right by BBB and some are more east, which means BRU.

I tried to split the items down the middle. I put more smaller things at BRU since I felt more people would go there.

So far, even though invites haven't gone out yet, two items were purchased from BBB by people where BRU is more convenient.

I figure if more goes off of one registry - I will just move things around (I did that for my wedding when I registered at BBB and Fortunoff).
