Reiki

has anyone ever had a reiki session?
what did you think about it?
did it help in any way?

reiki is a japanese "energy healing" where the practitioner does a hands-on type healing of your energy.

you start the session by verbalizing the things you are thinking about, are concerned about, and want clarity about. then you lay on your back and the practitioner goes around your body clearing your energy. you're supposed to have some clarity on your concerns within 24 hours.



i did it this past sunday.
i mentioned a few things i would like info on. i didn't tell her that i have hip pain. when she got to my hip, it felt hot... as if i had a heating pad. oh, man. it felt so good. then i felt the same heat in my chest. ok. no big deal, but it was definitely interesting.

well, this is where it gets interesting. one of the things i mentioned was my finances... well, i got home from work yesterday to find two... yes two... checks from the good old IRS! who knows, there might be something to this thing lol

My mom does it. I felt the heat on my neck (I always store my tension there) so it was definitely freaky, but I didn't have anything else come out of it.

My MIL is a reiki master
Personally I think you have to believe in it for it to work and I just don’t however I know many people swear by it.
She’s done it on me a bunch of times and I just don’t get it ...I feel the heat but it doesn’t take my pain away.

I’ve had it done a few times. I love it. The heat always goes where I need it. I’ve also had the weirdest sensation like someone was standing right next to my head when the reiki practitioner was actually at my feet (I opened my eyes and peaked)

I feel so rested after a session.
