Reimbursement for going to the gym.
My friend called his health provider and was told he could get partial reimbursement of his gym payment. They told him if he goes to the gym a certain amount of times each 6 month period, they would give him partial reimbursement. I never heard of this before. I think I am going to contact Empire.

Re: Reimbursement for going to the gym.
A lot of insurance companies have that now. Some will reimburse for only certain gyms.

for NYSC, you have to scan your membership card everytime you enter, they keep track that way. My mom has Bally's and Oxford ask her to bring a log to the gym for them to sign everytime she goes.

I used to have Oxford & never took advantage of it. I now have Empire, they don't have it, but I think they had a program with certain gyms that would waive the initiation fee.

Re: Reimbursement for going to the gym.
We have Aetna and get a reduced membership fee for the gym (in our case Ballys) but you had to join the gym through globalfit.com and they would tell you the participating gyms and associated fees. We used to go to NYSC but it was getting to be too much $$$ and they didn't participate in globalfit. It doesn't hurt to investigate to save some money.
