I can completely sympathize with you. When DS2 was 2 weeks old I received a call from a ped (my ped was on vacation) telling me his newborn screen had tested positive for Cystic Fibrosis. That was the first week in September (Fri of Labor Day weekend, to be exact). We did not find out until 5:01pm the night before Thanksgiving that he is a carrier and does not have the 2nd chromosome. It was the worst 3 months of my entire life and I have never ever felt relief like I felt from that phone call.
Enjoy this time, and the lifetime you now have with your wonderful HEALTHY baby
