Remember that burned out home for sale in East Northport?
Just drove by it on the way to IL's (they live a couple of blocks away)...
SOLD! That was pretty quick.
I would have taken a picture if I had my camera (I usually do).
My FIL's friend was the agent so I'll try to get details. It backs up onto athletic fields for a school and is deep in a neighborhood... nice location.
It's not longer on mlsli.com or I'd post the pic.

I think it's way down Shelby off of Elwood Rd. It is definitely near Shelby but it may have been one turn off. My brain is on auto-pilot when I drive to IL's.
FIL is away for a few days but I'll ask him to get the 411 when he gets back.
A builder definitely snatched it up, will level it and build new construction.
FIL wanted to buy it a year ago for us but they weren't selling yet. He and his contractors were considering totally redoing it. He doesn't have access to real heavy demo equipment and is not a builder so he was on the fence about it.
We never really considered it. We wanted Northport SD where we were (lower taxes) and wanted to be a "healthier" yet still close distance from IL's. A couple of blocks away my FIL would be over every day eating ice-cream out of our fridge
