Remind me again what is safe to take when you catch a cold
I have a sore throat, runny eyes and nose and crackling ears, I dont know if it is allergys since I dont have them or a cold

i am pretty sure tylenol cold and sinus is safe to take but i would call your dr to be sure.

I bought a bottle for 'just in case' because if figured if i got a cold I'd hate to send my hubby to the store while I suffered.

Tylenol Cold products and Robitussin were both ok'ed by my doctor.  I hope you feel better!

In addition to the above, Sudafed (the kind behind the pharmacy counter - without any initials after [ie: PE]).

I have the same thing - I was going to start taking Tylenol Cold.
Drink plenty of fluids, get some rest and feel better soon!!!

so interesting how different doctors are.
mine said absolutely NOT to the DM. he said only the plain robitussin without the letters. i even checked with my pharmacist and he said the same thing.
so to the OP: check with YOUR doctor to see what he recommends

My doctor recommends Sudafed only unless I am really sick and then she said an over the counter Tylenol cold medicine is fine. I am also currently experiencing the same things as you and I haven't taken anything yet but I may break down and go for the Sudafed. Being pregnant and sick is just awful.

my doc said I cant take anything. I can take 2 pain relieving tylenol for a headache but if I have a cold I gotta tough it out.

You got me curious and since i just FINALLY got my maternity packet I double checked their list they gave me. Yep.. Only DM
To be used only after the first tri.
*shrug*
Every doc is different as you say.

I was told Tylenol products (cold, etc) but not nighttime!
Also, plain Robetussin only (no letters after).
