Remote Control Hog
is this a man thing? DH takes the remote and changes the channel as soon as he walks into the room. He always makes some lame comment about the remote is a "mans toy" Then he gets mad at me if I leave the room to go do something else.

DH is definitely the remote KING!!!!! When the show he's watching goes to commercial, he'll flip around and watch other things, then go back to the original program.
drives me crazy. Good thing we have another tv in the bedroom.

DH is decent about letting me have the remote. But he's the worst when he has control -- he's one of those flippers. We'll watch 20 minutes of a show and then he'll change the channel for no real reason.

Yeah I have one of those too. He comes home looks at me like Im crazy for waching what Im watching, then flips it off. Never do I get the remote unless he is busy working.

Same here. It makes me so mad when he switches off a show that I was watching. I don't do that to him. My DH is a total remote hog. I only get the remote when I am home alone or if he is in the other room on the computer. And he will actually "present" the remote to me as he is leaving the room. B/c he knows it's this big deal for him to give it up.

DW and I argue about who GETS the remote! We like a lot of the same shows, and we have a DVR, so we have a list of shows we can watch that we both like. I don't like commercials, so I only like to watch what we have recorded, so I rarely surf.
