Removal of Uterine Polyps
Did anyone have a uterine polyp removed?
I have one that the doctor wants to remove. However, he told me that no one knows if polyps contribute to IF, but if a woman has one and has IF issues, they always remove it. I wish he would have told me that this would definitely help me, but oh well!
Does anyone know what time during the cycle it has to removed? And, am I correct in assuming that we will have to sit next cycle out if I am having the procedure to remove it?

Re: Removal of Uterine Polyps
I had to have a fibroid removed last cycle. What happened was I got AF, had surgery about 12 days later and I got AF today, exactly when I was due.
SO, while I sat that cycle out, AF was not delayed due to the surgery. I was told that since my ovaries were not being touched, it would not change my date.
Don't know if it is the same, but I wish you luck!!!

Re: Removal of Uterine Polyps
I had a Polyp removed and got pregnant (IVF) the following month.
The surgery was a snap! I felt fine afterwards, I even went shopping after lunch!
I had a little bleeding for a few days. Other then that, I would suggest going for it. Remove all obstacles!

I had one removed a few months ago. It was not a big deal surgery. You just miss TTC the month of the surgery. GL!

Re: Removal of Uterine Polyps
I had one removed in Oct. It should definitely be removed since there is a chance implantation can occur there. It was no big deal. In terms of timing, I had mine removed at the height of AF, no matter how gross that sounds to us. I got AF the following month on time.

Re: Removal of Uterine Polyps
I had one removed a couple of months ago. Full anesthesia was the worst part of it for me. They intubated me and that caused so much irritation in my throat and then developed a bad chest cold. But the actual surgery wasn't a big deal at all. Good luck to you!
