Renovating a home is hell for the indecisive!

Just want to say that I couldn't fall asleep until 3a.m. last night because I was stressing over FAUCETS!! Oil-rubbed bronze or chrome? This is my hell!

And the best part is, I still haven't made a decision!

I had the same problem except I couldn't decide between oil rubbed bronze and brushed nickel......in the end we went with brushed nickel. Chrome is the cheapest if that helps with your decisionChat Icon

I am totally the same way. I spend hours pondering the decision and end up not getting anywhere. I'm starting to get better finally... two months into the project.

Your subject line - truer words were never spoken!!!!!

The most mundane things will give you agita. Like faucets, or ceiling fans, or even light switches - dimmer, no dimmer, what kind of dimmer?

Re: Renovating a home is hell for the indecisive!

We put new entry doors in this week and I could not decide on the door hardware, I ended up buying 4 different sets and 3 will go back. I hate those moments!!

Even worse is when it's all done and then you find the choices you regret! I am pretty decisive (most of the time)but after all our renovations I wished there were a few things I did differently. Then my DH rolls his eyes bc it all looks fine to him.

ETA: Of course the fun part is when it's all done and you look around and love so many things too. I didn't want to sound like it's so horrible to renovate.

Re: Renovating a home is hell for the indecisive!

Picking everything for our bathroom remodel was so difficult that I dread doing our kitchen!!

I agonized over the saddle for the doorway and wound up having a custom one made only to discover that the piece of marble they cut it from was not quite the same shade as the sample I had seen and so now I hate it, but after weeks of stressing over it and the $$ for the custom one we used it anyway!!

Amen sistah. It took me a week, varioius google searches, a post here, 4 trips and many retruns to HD to figure out what hardware i wanted for my kitchen cabinets. I must have DH screw and unscrew 20 different kinds. And don't even get me started about the curtains......Chat Icon
