Renting a dumpster

Does anyone know how this works? We have a ton of debris to clear away from the yard (from my DH disassembling an old shed that was on the side of the house) and kitchen cabinets will come down in the next few weeks. Do you pay by the amount of time you keep it? Any recommendations?

ETS: We need a 10yd dumpster - any idea what that costs?

Re: Renting a dumpster

usually you have to pay for renting the dumpster (longer you have it, the more you pay) and also whatever you are putting into it for disposal. my ILs rented a 10 yard and it only cost them a few hundred dollars but they only had it for a few days. it could get expensive if you keep it for a week or more.

Most companies will allow you 10-14 days but be careful they charge extra for waste like concrete etc. Make sure you let them know in advance what your filling it with. Also check the Pennysaver, there are many small companies with good rates.Chat Icon

We just paid $250 for a 5yd. I believe the 10yd dumpsters we used to get were around $400.

I think we paid about $600 for a 30yd dumpster. It was huge but filled up real fast! We had it for 2 weeks.
