Repairing IGS and it's value

Would you spend $550 to repair IGS if you were planning on putting your house on the market soon.
Would working IGS add to the value of the home?

yes it adds value

Inground sprinklers not inground swimming pool (which is what I assume you meant).

Yes - In ground sprinklers are a nice selling feature, especially if you have a decent sized yard, and will be featured on your listing (it's an item on the MLS listing form). Well worth the $550, imo.
