I dont even know what to think anymore. I cannot wrap my head around all of this anymore. I cant bear it. I seriously will not bring my kids to the mall, I cant do it.
What is happening that we cant bring out kids to the mall, send them to school, to the movies without the fear of this in the back of your head.
When is someone going to do something.....TRY, damnit, they need to TRY.

One of my friends was just getting ready to go to that mall.. and his wife and baby were going to join him when the baby woke up. So scary!

I live 20 minutes from this mall..go here all the time. it's a great mall, great neighborhood (howard county MD is know for it's great schools/great community). I feel safe NO WHERE anymore!!! Raising children in a time where people just grab guns and shoot is very very unsettling.
Move theatres, schools, malls...NOWHERE is safe. It's a disgrace.

I heard this as well, and as sad as it is, i hope that was the case bc that makes it somehow less scary. It's possible that he targeted 2 people and then turned the gun on himself...

Every time one if these incidents happen I think the same thing! What will it take for us to get serious about change in gun laws? If sandy hook couldn't make us change really what will? I'm so sick of hearing about mass shooting, innocent lives lost! I fear the day it hits close to home! Makes me so sick. I love my children so much and I just fear to send them out into the world. No one is safe anymore! It's really is a disgrace!

Why on earth do people think that a gun is the solution? If it was a domestic issue, what was so wrong with the shooter's basic values that all he or she could think of was killing? A so called "crime of passion" is one thing - a spur of the moment act of killing those caught in the act, but to take one's dirty laundry to a public space and terrify everyone there is so extraordinarily selfish. And, it is an act of a real coward to commit suicide after creating such havoc.
Just think of the collateral damage, the kids and families of those shot, the minds and emotions of those who saw it happen, all of us who hear about it, and the poor folks who have to literally clean up the mess.

I grew up and still have family there. This is unconfirmed from a cop friend of a family member, but apparently the gunman shot his 19 yr old ex gf, her new bf, and himself.
