Repost from LIW-table names vs table numbers...help please, with poll.
Hi, please help, this board gets more traffic. My sister wants to use table names at her wedding, and my mom thinks it'll be too confusing. There are only 140 people coming, so 14 tables, I think table names are fine....anyone have any experience with this?

The hall needed to have numbers on the tables for the staff, so we got both on there and it wasn't confusing for anyone.
Table #1 - Frankenstein Table
Table #8 - Dracula Table, etc.
(I had a Halloween theme!)
It's not like it's going to be a football field sized room and people are going to have to scavenger hunt for them!
Most people thought it was really cute and added a little more personalization.

We did table names.. we had about 100 people , a lot of OLD people too.. and trust me NOONE was confused at ALL
Its really quite common today and it adds such a nice personalized touch..
