Repost from Parenting..Strollers/carseat
I posted on parenting because I thought I would ask the BTDT moms opionions. I will ask here too....
DH and I went looking at strollers and infant seats today to start our registry....we really liked the Combi City Savvy Select.
Does anyone have this....do you like it or dislike it? Why? Thanks much!

The baby bargains gave them both an A rating....I will post a pic, but the pic is a little blurry from their website. It is just an infant seat (I would have to buy a separate toddler seat after he/she outgrows it).

Yeah...I know, but trying to see if it's a good one
I like this for the convertible/toddler seat (it's a Britax Roundabout):

I was concerned also ..but I think of it this way..If someone or a group wants to buy it for me then wonderful..if not then we will purchase it or use the money/gift cards I may get from my shower....

Re: Repost from Parenting..Strollers/carseat
I have it as my 2nd stroller. The straps do not tighten enough for a baby. Molly could never have used it until she was well over 1 year old. And still they are not tight enough. But I only keep it in DH's car just so I am never without one.
I love my Graco Metrolite and the Graco Snugride. I have no idea what the Combi car seats are rated. I have never known anyone to purchase one. I would go by the consumer report ratings over Baby Bargins. JMO
The Britax is a great seat. We have two and used them once Molly outgrew her infant seat. But when the baby is an infant you will want one that snaps into your stroller. It is soo much easier. Waking you your baby to bring him/her back and forth and put her/him into a car seat would not be easy or fun IMO.
A stroller is worth the money. You use it for years and use it all the time.

Re: Repost from Parenting..Strollers/carseat
Hi Kim, we just ordered and received the Peg Perego stroller from Albeebaby.com. They have a store/warehouse in Manhattan. MUCH cheaper than in the store. I bought last years model because it was cheaper and I like the color better. I haven't opened the box yet(it came today and was delivered to my deck so I don't want to schlep it in , will wait for DH). I will let you know the condition of it. It is brand new though, not used.

Re: Repost from Parenting..Strollers/carseat
I have a Combi, although not that model. I have the Ultra Savvy. I love the stroller itself but their customer service was a nightmare. My issue with them was awhile ago though, maybe they've gotten better with CS since then but they gave me the biggest hassle with getting the stroller repaired even though the store it was purchased through (BBB) was footing the bill for shipping it to and from them.
