I was just wondering if there was anyone that had to go for an amnio and what was your experience like if you dont mind. TIA

i went for an amnio. my ultrascreen results came back off for trisomy 13/18 and after reading how horrible and fatal trisomy can be, dh and i decided an amnio was our best bet.
the dr was very good. it was a very uncomfortable experience.
it was done in office and everything was very sterile. they monitored the baby and the first time they got the needle in they had to pull it right out because the baby moved.
the next few days you really want to just relax and stay off your feet.

I had an amino done too. My experience was very good. It was done in the hospital. After it was done, I went home and just relaxed with my fet up for the rest of the day.
