repost: restaurants in atlantic city?
we are staying in the tropicana...does anyone know of a good restaurant near by? thanks in advance

I "think" they put Carmines in Trop unless its in Caesars which isnt far from there.

Yes Carmines is in Trop, but imo not to great. IF you want to make the trip, go to Old Homestead in the Borgota. Excellent food.

I agree! Borgatas got great food. All there restaurants are fantastic but then you will have to leave the strip. If its doable then go there.

If you're willing to drive about 10 minutes out of the main thoroughfare.....there is a small, extremely intimate Japanese-Inspired American Restaurant called TOMATOES---it's in Margate.
Their sushi is THE BEST sushi we've ever had (DH and I both agree it's better than Nobu).....and their crab cakes are to die for.
I also second the Carmine's idea (however, one can have Carmines right here in the city)
