Does anyone have a recommendation on where to find these, in a natural wood finish? I would like to put them up in the nursery to display pictures and "special" items.... does anyone even know what I mean??

They sell those everywhere- check BB&B, LNT- pottery barn, Home Depot.

I bought ones like the first pic you have in Linens N things...they come in different colors and sizes.

I have a set from pottery barn and a set from target. imo the pottery barn set is definitely nicer and sturdier.
