Representative for class or assistant to representative?

Can anyone tell me about these two class helper positions? If you are the assistant to the class representative, what are your typical duties? Are you utilized or maybe not? Should the teacher be asked about what she expects of these two positions?

Never heard of this to be honest. We have class moms, that's it.

Our school does head class mom or head room rep as they call it, and then room reps or classmoms.

The head mom is the one who handles the money, activities for parties, PTA fundraiser stuff etc, The class moms just help out.

Last year the head class mom would get us class moms together to discuss parties, dole out responsibilities ( who would get what etc).

We have one head rep and 2 assistant reps. Honestly the head didn't do much. She split it up. The other two moms worked so I was stuck doing more work than the head and other assistant.

We all attended pta meetings and helped run back to school night (collect money for pta, teacher gifts, run lottery for trips, crafts, class parties).

Then we were supposed to split the reminders. I ended up reminding crafts and trip moms because one of the others said it was too much to send reminder emails...the other sent reminders as to what people were bringing for parties (valentines day, thanksgiving, halloween etc).
