Requirements for subs/tas

Are there requirements, certs etc for positions like the following

subs and TAs

and how do you go about subbing full time? does that exist?

any help as to how to find job openings for these would be great.

I think for TA's you have to be certified, and apply through teach online. I know there's different levels of Teacher assistants.

For subbing, I would send my resume in, asking to be added to teh sub list, and they'll call you for interviews hopefully.

I don't know how you go about being a permanent sub though

In NYC with the amount of excessed teachers it would probably be hard to even get a file number (which you need to sub in NYC schools)
