RE's and OBGYNS
Can everyone who feels comfortable tell me what RE they go to , or clinic and where they are....
and what about OB's? I need a high risk OB and am having trouble finding one who accepts new patients .
I live in Lindenhurst and I work in Melville. I cannot travel to NYC ever, its just too much out of my way.
THANKS

Re: RE's and OBGYNS
Donna --- I will be going to East Coast Fertility in Plainview - Dr. Kreiner. A friend recommends them highly - she has a beautiful baby boy. I haven't been yet, my first appt. is Dec. 8, but I am really hoping for a positive experience. They have a few offices on Long Island, but Plainview should be easy for you I think...
I can't go to the city either -- starting my own business, too much stress.
Here is their info. if you would like to research this.

Re: RE's and OBGYNS
LI IVF has an office in Melville. There doctor's are great! They have really great stats as well. I know they have been around for over 16 years, so they are pretty established. I know Dr. Kenigsberg and Dr. Ruman see pts at Melville. I think Dr. Brenner might as well. I don't know if it matters who you pick b/c you'll end up seeing them all. As far as High risk ob's. I saw the dr's at North Shore. I had dr. Voorha there. But again I saw them all. They are excellent. I know they have offices in a bunch of locations but I liked going to their office in Manhasset. Good Luck!

Re: RE's and OBGYNS
You know about me as far as RE.
MY OB is in Great Neck and they have a n OB who specializes in high risk. They have a woodbury office too. 516-921-6512. I think Bergman is the one there that specializes in high risk but I am not 100% sure.
Good luck and keep me updated!!

I second LI-IVF. The doctors and staff are great and you very rarely have a wait in their offices. They take your blood, do a sono, and you're in and out. Whn i had my IUI, we only had to wait about 30 minutes for them to wash the sperm and then we were taken in. They don't make you drop off your specimen, then come back a few hours later like some offices do.

Re: RE's and OBGYNS
i definitely third li ivf!!!....i have not had any of the problems there that i have read about from other places - such as long waits and not getting answers.
the doctors are fantastic - dr. kenigsberg was awarded the "best dr. in 2002" award for his research and work in fertility.
the success rates for my are group at liivf are 52.2 for pregnancy rate per cycle and 43.5 for live births per cycle.....this is right on par with nyu's #'s which are 51.2 and 44.6 respectively. (and nyu is listed as one of the top 5 clinics in the country)
i would recommend them to anyone!!

Re: RE's and OBGYNS
I don't know if this will help. I go to Dr. Hull in Huntington. She seems to be really great so far.
