Restaurant Rec in Manhattan
At the end of every year the company I work for goes into the city for our end-of-the-year "event". This year we are seeing Blue Man Group, going to dinner and staying over at a hotel.
I usually am responsible for choosing the restaurant. Last year we went to Asiate, and the year before that the River Cafe (which was AMAZING). I think before that was Capital Grille.
Anyway, I want to choose a restaurant this year that is going to wow everyone. Its a small company (10 people). For some reason, this year I'm drawing a blank.
I'd like something with an amazing view, or an amazing atmopshere, or something that will be memorable.
Does anyone have ANY suggestions?? I don't want to disappoint. Any suggestions at all will be appreciated!
TIA

The Boathouse in Central Park is one of my favorite places. Definitely a "special" atmosphere!

DH raves about Asia de Cuba. He went there with co-workers. It is expensive and the food is really unique, not sure if that's what you are looking for.

I am in charge of my company's Christmas dinner as well.
I love the Bryant Park Grill in the winter - the top floor dining room overlooks the ice rink and the entire christmas village. It is soo pretty and festive.
FM with more specifics I will give you some other places I have set up.
