restaurant reccomendation and wineries close to east wind hotel

a bunch of friends are staying at the east wind for the weekend and looking for a good restuarant and some nice wineries to go to. any suggestions would be great. thanks.

I don't know the vineyards off the top of my head though

Giorgio's (Restaurant) It is a little fancy but great.

Elbow Room (Restaurant) very laid back - not fancy but FANTASTIC food.

Claudio's (Restaurant) Middle of the road place in terms of spiffy-ness.

Another vote for the Cooperage Inn. It's probably the closest to East Wind.

Claudio's is not open now...closed for the season. They'll probably open in the next month or so.

Not sure how far east they want to go wine tasting, but some of the closest wineries to East Wind (no further than Mattituck) are Martha Clara, Roanoke, Paumanok, Laurel Lake, Jamesport, Palmer, Macari, Clovis Point and Lieb.

Restaurants-

Cooperidge is delicious

Phil's in Wading River is great if you're looking for a casual burger kind of place

Riverhead has Tweed's, Diggers, Parto's, Birchwood

Lobster Roll Northside is one of my favorites but I'm not sure if it's reopened yet, it closes in the winter

Wineries- Martha Clara is my favorite and one of the closest. You can't go wrong if you drive along sound rd or main rd- plenty to choose from.

I second the Elbow Room! GREAT food!

One of my favorite wineries is Paumanok. It's the first vineyard on 25A.
