Restaurant Recommendation Massapequa area

DH wants to buy his mentor a gift certificate to a nice place near Massapequa. The person lives in Massapequa so somewhere not that far from there. What do you suggest and how much $$ would be sufficient to cover the bill ? He doesn't really know what kind of food they like/dislike so I'm thinking a place that has a good variety. Thank you so much!

I went to The Good Life in Massapequa Park 2 months ago, and I really liked it. Nice choice of pub food.

Re: Restaurant Recommendation Massapequa area

I think Hudson's Mill is probably your safest bet.

DH and I are very particular about our Italian and Butera's ranks really low on our list, as well as many other people I know.

Salumi can get REALLY pricey too, once you start throwing in drinks, and the plates add up.

I would probably do $100.00.

We've gotten others GCs for the same amount at Hudson's Mill before as wel.

ITA with Hudson's Mill... or Around the corner in Amityville is Vittorios...

$100 will do well at both places.

I don't want to sound like a snob but Butera's is just gross and so sub par when it comes to Italian food. I would go for Hudson's Mill, or Vittorio's. Also, we were at Vittorio's Saturday night and our friend Tom who is a bartender there told us Vero is opening in 2 weeks! Chat Icon

I highly second The Good Life. This is one of our favorite restaurants!

Not at all. I feel the same way about Ciao Baby. I don't get the appeal.
