Restaurant Recommendation Please!
Me and my friend's birthdays are coming up (she is turning 35) and we are looking for a new place to go. We did Blue's Lobsterfest last year and enjoyed it. She suggested Insignia but if I am going to spend a lot I was better food. (she really doesnt eat steak either). Any suggestions? I'm in Selden she's in Yaphank so I guess centrally located. I'm thinking seafood but am drawing a blank on an upscale seafood restaurant around here.

The View in Oakdale. It's very pretty, all redone.
I heard Insignia is overrated.

I love the View (but I go there often in the summer)!
I heard the same thing about Insignia (another reason I do not want to go there)!

The Oar in Patchogue is nice, not "upscale" but can sit outside and has a nice view. Limited menu but always good food (and drinks too!)

Captain Bills in Bayshore
Fat Fish in Bayshore- my favorite
Snapper Inn- Oakdale
Fifth Season- Port Jeff
Cull House- Sayville- not fancy but sooo good
