restaurant recommendations in midtown

I'll be in midtown for dinner Sat night

there are all these restaurants I want to try, but I am completely drawing a blank

and suggestions?

in midtown -- anything really, italian, steaks, american, japanese, mexican

just no thai

I know of some good places high 50's and low 60's.

felidia - grreat pasta
vong - super trendy
bice - havent been butr heard great italian food
cite - excellent wine dinner for a price fix
blt steak - great but trendy steak place
21 club - old school charm, great food
lever house - never been but heard great things
tao - super trendy asian fusion - funky atmosphere

we are going to a play, we can go in early, I just didn't want to go to the upper east side or downtown
