results of my D&C and a ?

The dr just called and said that they found NO genetic abnormality She said that the baby didn't have any signs of Downs Syndrome or Trisomy 13 --

so question -- if the baby didn't have anything wrong genetically --- why did I Miscarry?

I was at work when I talked to her with other people in teh office so I couldn't ask...now i want to call her back...

i honestly have no idea, but i would call the Dr. bacak when you have a moment alone!

ETA: i was just doing research for myself and had a thought that maybe its a progeterone issue... did your dr ever check your progesterone?

That is the same result I got :(

I was then tested for progesterone, antibody/immunue, blood clotting disorders, etc. which is basically the works and everything came back normal there too.

There is no reason (that they could find) for why I lost the baby. All I got is that sometimes it just "happens".

Do you know the sex of the baby? For me, the genetic testing may not have been 100% accurate based on the sex and normal result. If we lost a boy we would know 100% for sure that the result was correct but with a girl that is "normal" it could be a contamination of the mother's (my) cells. I saw two doctors who read the pathology and they both wanted to proceed with the other testing based on their assumption that the genetic testing was accurate and my baby was a normal girl.

Not knowing why hasn't been easy. I have a lot of fears about the next time because I don't know what went wrong and there is nothing for me to "fix". I was kind of hoping they would find something when they did all the extra testing on me so that I had a reason and something that could be controlled the next time around.

I would call the doctor back and clarify that genetic testing was done, the fact that she said "no signs of trisomy" sounds to me like just the general results of the d&c (pathology report) not results of genetic testing. You should speak to your doctor when you have some privacy and clarify that that did chromosome analysis.
