results of second cycle
this is an update to my last cycle.
I had the following beta results from 2 embryo FET
12/5 - 16.6
12/7 - 48
12/10 - 69.8
12/12 - 211
12/14 - 339
12/17 - 594
12/19 - 800ish - saw sac in left fallopian tube; diagnosed as ectopic (tubal) pregnancy
12/20 - received anticancer drug to shrink growth of sac and cells
will have follow up blood work on 12/24 (yes christmas eve) and 12/27.
Some of you may recall my prior cycle was a fresh cycle 2 embryo transfer that failed.
watchign the numbers for this cycle was driving me nuts - the RE and nurses saying it wasn't doubling, even though it was keeping up with the expected numbers after two tests and me saying that it meant that my baby was going to be "exceptional." - a word of advice to all, the numbers not doubling, even if they keep up with where they should be, wasn't a good sign for me and I wish i had better prepared myself for these news - but at the same time, you want to believe in it, you know? doubling is a really big thing. here - the numbers were all we had, and they were right as to what was going on.
I'm obviously upset and disapointed. We're taking some time off for my body and heart to heal. I just keep telling myself that I'd rather find out that it was bad than end up sick and dead because of a ruptured tube. But at the same time, it's hard not to wish that it had not implanted at all . . . rather than this.

I'm so sorry - having had 2 ectopics myself, I know what you are going through. I'm so sorry.
Also, please please please pay attention to your body - I had 2 shots of the metho for my last ectopic which appeared to be working and my tube ended up rupturing anyway...if you feel at all abnormal, call your dr. asap.

I am so sorry at least they monitored you and diagnosed your ectopic early and you didn't lose a tube.....
I hope that the beta goes down after the shot and after 3 months you can start again! I am sorry again!
