Resumes and interviews
I sent out a bunch of resumes and did the online applications...
My question is...when do you start to hear back from the districts for interviews?

believe it or not- I sent out my resume for my current job in May! I got called in for a writing sample the end of June.

it depends when districts know of their retirees and leaves. most retirees or people resigning have made that known by now... so those have been posted. it's the last minute vacacnies for leaves or unexpected changes that pop up in the late spring early summer.
i applied for the job i have now (been here 3 years) in early March. I was contacted for an interview in April. I interviewed in May. Was officially offered the job in June.

some districts also wait for the budget vote to see if it passes or not, so they know where they stand money wise and if they can afford to hire new staff- sometimes districts dont replace all retiring staff...
