Retrieval on Friday
Excited and nervous for my retrieval Friday. Looks like we have twenty follicles or so. Prayers please!!!!!

Retrieval went smoothly! Got 23 eggs. Will get the fertilization report tomorrow! Fingers crossed!

Thank you! Unfortunately I didn't get the news that i hoped for but theres still hope. Out of 23 eggs only 8 were mature. Dr.Wang said this is NOT the norm and definitely something to look into, especially since in the past we had embryo quality issues . The good news is out of 8, 7 of them fertilized…..praying for those embies to grow!!!!

embryo growth never makes any sense to me... we had 17, 8 out of 9 fertilize and I only had 3 make it to freeze. We have some issues, but I still wonder what the heck happens in those labs.
