return policies - i know its been asked BUT

i cant remember and im too lazy (tired) to seach...

i got two bouncers for my shower, one i registered for and then also the Fisher Prices Ocean Wonders Aquarium that I'd like to return. I see that BRU carries it but I dont have a receipt.

I dont see it on BBB website. Maybe ill try there first? What happens if I try to return it to BRU without a receipt?

What are the policies at both stores?

From my understanding BRU won't take it back without a receipt unless it was on your registry.

you have no idea how many items i returned to BRU with no receipt and they were DEFINITELY not on my registry...hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of stuff. they took it all.

tell them that you're me if you want, so that at least it looks like you have SOME sort of registry there. you could say "i have a registry but i don't know if this is on it or not" lol

also, did you check target? they accept returns without receipts...but you can only return up to (i think) $75 worth of stuff in one year without receipts.

LOL - can you tell i'm the queen of returns and exchanges?

Just wanted to say I tried to return a vacuum to Target ($60.00) and never returned anything there and they told me they absolutely take nothing back without a receipt. No store credit-nothing, and I was registered there for my bridal shower.

Can you just put it on your registry or make up a registry with it on there if you dont have one? Do you think they would be able to tell?

BRU gave me a problem returning 2 bath robes and hooded towels I had 1 on my registry and 2 other people also bought the same thing. the girl finally gave me a store credit. You can also add it to ur registry and put it as purchased so when u go to the store they see it there

ugh, i dont have a registry at BRU maybe ill make one up

kate - I would say I was you BUT do they check ID or anything? Maybe Ill luck out and BBB carries it

they've never checked my ID on a return, but hey, you never know.

i guess you could definitely create a registry and add it, mark it purchased, etc.

althouth it's a PITA, if no one else will take it back, it's an option!!!
