Returning Corelle Plates?

DH and I got a set of Corelle dishes for an engagement gift about 2 years ago. They are not our style whatsoever and all we wanted to do was exchange them but they came from target and we didnt have a receipt. (i've always had bad experiences returning stuff there)

Do you think another store like Waldbaums (as they have the same boxed sets in a different pattern) would accept an exchange? Who else carries boxed sets of Corelle?

I'm not trying to get a deal or anything, just a set of dishes we would actually use. What would you do?

Re: Returning Corelle Plates?

you could try returning them to the corelle outlet store in carle place at the corner of voice rd and glen cove rd. they might take it for an exchange.

Isnt that Corning or is it the same company? I kept second guessing this even though i drive by it about 4 times a week!

They arent expensive, I'd say the set is about $30 - $45 or so and the shipping costs would be pretty extreme since its kinda heavy, but if we cant return them, we'll just take the loss and post them.

Corning/Corelle are the same company.

If that doesn't work you could put them on craig's list or ebay for local pick up or even donate them to good will for the tax deduction since they aren't too expensive.
