Revisiting an old post: Tradition Gift for DD's First Birthday- Pandora Bracelet
I have decided that the closest and most affordable gift for what I would like to do for DD is a Pandora bracelet. My concern is that it may be too "trendy" and that I may not be able to follow through with the tradition long enough. Do you think the Pandora thing is too trendy to do? I would get her the bracelet and a charm for her birthday and a charm for each gift giving occassion/holiday.

Honestly, as soon as I read the subject of your post I thought I wasn't sure if the Pandora wasn't too trendy. I would go with a regular gold charm bracelet. I think it's more classic and timeless.

While Pandora may be trendy now - a charm bracelet is timeless IMO. You can't go wrong.

Meaning stay away from Pandora and go with a regular charm bracelet or do you think a Pandora will be ok and available still?

Pandoras been around a while, I wouldnt worry and think its a cute idea! I would love to have my mom do that for me.

how about starting a "diamonds by the yard" type necklace for DD - her 16th or 18th birthday could be a larger solitaire for the center of it!
