Camille Grammer stopped by to promote ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,’ and told the crew about the rehabilitative effort she’d put into her marriage to veteran TV actor Kelsey Grammer: “When I met him, yeah, he was a mess.” While a mess, Kelsey had game: “He’s very charming when you first meet him...he swept me off my feet.” But the charm eventually wore off: “He was boring on the weekends. I always wanted to do something and he just wanted lay around the house and watch Fox TV. Fox News, yeah.”

Howard asked if Camille planned to return to ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ for its second season, but Camille doubted it: “We haven’t made that decision yet. Would you stay on a show that did that to you? I mean, c’mon. They demonize me.” Camille said Kelsey had encouraged her at first: “He encouraged me to do the show.” Howard speculated that he wanted her out of the way so he could continue having an affair in NYC, and Camille nodded: “I agree. Absolutely.”

WHO WOULD STOP HAVING SEX WITH CAMILLE?

Camille told the crew that she and Kelsey stopped having sex “years ago” for “probably mutual” reasons, but only partially due to loss of desire: “It was some of that, yeah.” Howard relayed some rumors: “Here’s what I’m hearing: Kelsey’s a total freak.” Camille confirmed it: “Bingo! After three years, I said, ’Enough. You need to be a man for me. I need to be with a man.’ That’s all I can say. I’ll leave it at that.”

IS LA CAGE THE PERFECT ROLE FOR KELSEY?

Howard pressed for more, and Camille eventually continued: “Let’s put it this way. He’s in the perfect play. Like, when I knew that he got [a role in] La Cage Aux Folles, I was like, ‘Ok, I’m going to lose him.’ But I thought it was going to be to one of his back-up dancers. I didn’t think it was going to be to another woman.” Howard took that to mean Kelsey wasn’t 100% straight. so Camille clarified: “I think he’s straight. There were times when I didn’t throughout our marriage because I couldn’t understand why he couldn’t physically be with me.”
Howard asked if she meant Kelsey couldn’t get it up, and Camille demurred: “I didn’t say it. You did.” Howard couldn’t believe it: “I could get hard--if I was half-dead--for you!” Camille “I don’t think he’s gay...there’s another reason.” Robin knew the reason: “He likes to dress up like a woman.” Again, Camille refused to say the words herself: “I didn’t say it.” Howard laughed: “That would scare the **** out of me...I would think he looked like Barbara Bush!”

HOW THE GRAMMERS FELL APART

Camille said she and Kelsey had considered spicing things up with an open relationship: “We were discussing that towards the end of our marriage...not swinging but redefining our marriage.” She would’ve settled for a dildo: “He didn’t want me to have one. I don’t know. He was jealous of the vibrator.” Howard asked if Kelsey had ever given her an ******, but Camille wasn’t sure: “Maybe he had. Years ago...he would say the same if he were here. It was always, like, a struggle for us to bond that way.

THE AFTERMATH

Camille said she was enjoying single life: “I’ve had fun the last few months. A lot of fun the last few months.” She’s also looking forward to her divorce settlement: “We didn’t even talk about a pre-nup. It wasn’t on the table...I’ll do well.” But she doesn’t want Kelsey to leave the family behind: “I want to be amicable in front of our kids--for our kids--but he’s fighting it and I don’t know why.”
