I have done roasts on the BBQ, I would put the meat on direct heat for maybe 10 minutes on each side and then switch it to indirect heat.

Thank you i actually did it this way i seared it then put it on indirect heat for 2 hrs cuz it was an 8lb rib roast and stuffed it with garlic parsley salt and pepper... it came out amazinggggggg

Sounds AWESOME! I might try this when I come back from my vacation. Did it have a bone in it???

nope i got it without the bone and i put slits in it all over where i stuffed in the garlic and parsley ... im sure u can do it with the bone also maybe it will just take a little longer
