Richmond Hill area - Queens experts, please help
Are Jamaica or Kew Gardens train stations to Richmond Hill? Do any subways run through? I need to get to midtown from Richmond Hill.
TIA!

The J train runs through there...it's not the same lines as Kew Gardens. You can take the J to "East New York" and transfer to the A to Midtown...or take the J all the way to Delancey and transfer to the F to Midtown. Both places svck because the J goes through some pretty rough spots.

The stuck out way before I read a word. I have a ride to a train station - should I just ask to be driven to Jamaica station?

Honestly, the A train is the best way to go. You can take it straight to midtown. and its cheaper than lirr!
its about a 35-40 min ride

I can try to do the A train - thanks, Jeanine.
Sasha, I don't remember where; some catering hall. If I'm not driving, I never know where exactly I'm going.

What are you doing up? My DH has been since 7!
Anyway...are you going to a wedding or event? Is it at Fleur de Lis?

I'm up b/c I'm at my parents house, waiting up for my brother to come home from a blind date I'm going to a christening - I know for a fact that it's not Fleur de Lis. It's an Italian name.
What are you doing up?

Cordon Bleu IS still open, and it still looks the same as when my parents got married there 30+ years ago!

I went to a wedding there...it's a nice place. And really affordable. We might have DH's parent's anniversary there. Enjoy!
