riding in the car with infant
when did everyone feel comfortable enough to take the baby out alone in the car to go shopping etc?

6 weeks
ETA: I went out with him the car before that (to the airport to p/u my MIL, drive through places, etc) just didn't take him inside any stores before 6 wks. Also, I had a c-section so I couldn't drive for the first 3 weeks anyway.

I waited like 2 months because I had a c-section so my doctor said I couldnt drive for like 6 weeks. I had my mom pick me up like everyday to take me and my DD out for drives, just so we could get out of the house.

I probably would have gone right away, but since we didn't have a car while in Ireland he didn't have his first car ride (other than home from the hospital) until he was 8 weeks old. But we did take him for walks within 2 weeks and we were out shopping with him by 3 weeks old.

I have already taken Ryan to the store with me a few times. He is only 2 weeks. He did just fine.
