Ringworm vs LYMES DISEASE!!!
I am freakin out over here. DD had this spot on her arm that was puffy and resembled a bug bite. A couple of hours later it looks like either ringworm or a bullseye, I don't know. It is definately red on the outside, less red on the inside but what is throwing me off is there is a litte red dot in the middle. Obviously I am calling the doctor in the morning but does anyone know how to tell the difference???? TIA

OK, here's what I could find. The first two pics are ringworm, the second two pics are lymes.

Re: Ringworm vs LYMES DISEASE!!!
My DD had the same thing a few weeks back. I ended up calling the doctor who said to give her benedryl. Did that for a few days. It went away and 3 days later came back worse. She went to the doc and they couldn't be sure what bit her. I still think it was some kind of mosquito. They did a lyme test on her about 10 days later and it came back negative. They said that the mosquitos are really nasty this year and alot of kids are coming in with wierd looking bites. I hope your DD gets better soon.

DS has also had marks like those that were simply round dry patches and/or eczema.
Pls don't worry until a Dr. cfms anything

Re: Ringworm vs LYMES DISEASE!!!
Luckily it was only a bug bite. Doc says most likely a green (horse) fly. Thank GOODNESS!!! No lymes to worry about.

Glad to hear it...I brought my son into the dr a couple weeks ago for strange marks on his leg, and he told me it was green fly bites as well.
