Rj's 1st nightmare
Well- I guess there have been others- but this was the 1st one he was able to communicate to me...
The other night he woke @ 3:30am asking me to turn the TV on- I said ok and rolled over assuming he was talking in his sleep- like he sometimes does...
Seconds later I could feel him shaking- I jumped up assuming he was sick or cold. I asked him what was wrong, and tried to warm him up- but he kept asking to turn on the light and go on the couch. I then realized he had a bad dream and was scared.
I walked him around the house- turning on every light and showing him there was nothing to be scared of...
We went back to sleep- leaving my bedroom light on...
The next day at school, I had gone down to his class to inform his teachers of his bad dream, incase he seemed extra sleepy or something.
His teacher replied:
"He already told me- he said he had a dream a lion was shaking the bed, and that he was scared- he then said- but mommy saved me"
I melted...and continue to hang onto those words..
"mommy saved me" ahhhh
