RN?
I have my Master's in Social Work and work in home care.
I see the huge need for nurses in home care.
Is there such a thing as getting an RN degree online?
What is the route in general if not online? Is it a F/T program? F/T internship required? I know from what I've heard nursing school is pretty competitive to get into but I see some of the BAD nurses out there and I think, if they can get in, I certainly can.
I am probably out of my mind thinking about more schooling, but just want to get the information.
I know I could probably make twice as much as I make now as a RN.
Thanks, I am clueless about this and our good nurses at work are just too busy to shoot the s with about this.
ETA: Pretty much what I do now is "medical" social work and I also have worked in mental health.

Re: RN?
There are a couple of people in my class that are social workers and they are making the switch.
you could take some of the prereqs online(you prob. have some of them already)..but the program is hands on, there is a lot of labs and clinical.
I am in the midst of an RN program at night right now, second year, let me know if you have questions.

Re: RN?
I don't think there is a program online for RN. You may be able to take some classes online but not the whole program.
But I know you can take a "master" degree online for nursing. But not RN.

Re: RN?
Initially, you would need to go through a traditional program because there are certain requirments such as your clinical time. The online schools are typically for nurse who already have their degree and are looking to complete a bachelor's or higher.
