Roadtrip

I'm heading to Boston this weekend for my niece's first birthday. This will be Parker's first roadtrip. It takes about 3 hours to get there. DH took off from work tomorrow so we can just go with the flow. Any suggestions? She isn't the greatest in the car to begin with. My plan is to time it with a nap and hope she goes to sleep for some of the trip.

I'm really stressed out about it. What if she cries the entire time? She is only 3 months old so anything can happen. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks,
Kris

Re: Roadtrip

We travel to LI from CT all the time, it takes us about 2-3 hours. Gianna made her NY debut at 7 weeks old.

Feed her right before you go, leave her in comfy clothes, like pjs and leave when you have the best chance of NO traffic.

We are lucky as soon as the car starts moving and stays moving, Gianna is out cold. But maybe you could stay in the backseat with the baby if they start to get cranky?

Re: Roadtrip

If I was going on a roadtrip with jiavana I would probably give her a bottle right before we go and hope for a nap. Do you have an activity bar on the infant seat?

I would also make plans to sit in the back with her in case she is in a cranky mood.

We took Jordana to the Jersey shore when she was less than 3 months old. It took about 3 hours. She was 100% fine. She slept the whole way. We had a bottle just in case. She was great.

We also took Jordana to Boston last month and she was also fabulous! Only when we got stuck in traffic did she get cranky so I climbed in the back seat and sat with her. She was fine.

We took DD to Virginia when she was 6 weeks old. I sat in the back with her. She slept alot and we did stop once each way to feed and change her. That ride was about 5 1/2 hours though.
