What the heck am I supposed to do with the bag of chicken innards? I have no clue what to make with them.

freeze them for when you make chicken stock or soup. They give great flavor.

I take them out, salt the cavity and rinse it with cold water.

I put the innards in a pot with chicken stock, a quartered onion, a broken carrot and some salt and simmer. Then I strain and keep the liquid (chicken parts get cooled and given to the cat). I use the liquid for gravy - or I stick it back in the freezer for later use.

I ended up freezing the innards and am going to use it to make either gravy or stock in the future. DH wanted me to throw them out, but I didn't want to waste them.

So here's how it turned out...

I couldn't believe how easy and tasty it was! I am officially in love with Pioneer Woman!

I wanted to thank maybeamommy for this recipe, I made it last week and it was sooo good and not difficult, and I am NOT a cook!

ETA: oh, and I threw out the innards.

I roast the innards, except the neck and feed it to my cat. He loves it - especially the liver

Me too! I know my relatives fight over the turkey liver at thanksgiving but I didn't realize they could be used for stock or gravy. Still not sure I want to open that bag though!

I throw them out.

On a side note, I made the PW roast chicken and it was sooooo good. I always screw up chicken, but this time I didn't.
