rockville centre village area ?
How is it living around the rockville centre village area with a toddler esp in the apts/coops ?
We aren't ready to buy a house $$$$ but we are thinking of moving in that area because of the convenience to LIRR and shops.

Part of my job includes helping my clients locate fair-market housing. I went with a housing locator last week and looked at a couple nice 2-bedroom apartments in Rockville Centre. I don't spend a lot of time here, but drive through the area on my way to work and it seems like a cute area with lots of access to shops, restaurants, transportation, etc.

I'm moving there on Thurs but so far it seems great for kids! I already have my 2yr old DS enrolled in a class at the rec center and one at the library (which has a GREAT chidlren's room). They also have events like a kids day, a Halloween parade, breakfast with Santa. And the school district has an excellent reputation.

It's a great town for kids. There's a lot to do, a very active community. As others mentioned, the library and rec center are great places to get out and meet other families.
