My aunt and uncle have lived there for 40 years and all of their children went through the RP schools.
She is a former asst. supterintendent of the district.

FM me any questions and I can ask her for you.

Re: Rocky Point

My sister lives there. I am not sure about the schools, but I know that my sister and her husband are very happy there.
The only thing I want to mention is it is very hilly there and one day in the winter I couldn't get my car to drive up my sister's block... with the steepness and snow/ice . Just something to keep in mind!

Re: Rocky Point

we moved to Rocky Point last summer... so far so good... we have a flat piece of property before all the hills start, so i havent had too much of a problem yet... when it rains, the roads often get flooded, but once you are here a bit you quickly learn which roads flood and which roads dont flood, so you can avoid any problems...

the pizza place by Kohls makes AWESOME heros!

Re: Rocky Point

My Dad lives here-they like it! It is a cute neighborhood. The houses are still somewhat affordable. Lots to do the schools are good.

i just moved from there but i loved it and i second the pizza place Pompei's yummy. the only problem i had there was the hills in the snow some of them are very scary it depends what part you move to. I know people with kids in the sd and say that it is awesome.

Re: Rocky Point

I grew up in RP - went to the schools K-12. I graduated with about 220 kids, although there are probably more now as the district has grown, and they've had to add on to the middle and high school. It was a great school to go to.

it's quite hilly north of 25A, closer you get to the beach, but there are plenty of areas that aren't. Of course the houses that are more reasonably priced are in the hillier areas.

My parents live on Radio Avenue, which is technically Miller Place, but it's the last road in the district.

FM me if you have any questions.
