Roman locked himself in his room

So around 6:00am I hear Roman scurry over to his bedroom door which we keep closed during the night. DH gets up to open the door since he can't reach the knob (or so I thought) and it was lockedChat Icon I had his windows closed and locked because the air was on. I felt terrible, he started crying and banging on the door, the mere fact that I couldn't get to him was so upsetting. I started picking the lock and finally it opened. Tonight the gate goes up insteadChat Icon

I am glad you got him out! My little brother did that once in my grandma's bathroom and they had to call the FD to get him out Chat Icon When we replaced all our interior doors, it was funny when we thought about it, but decided the only bedroom door to get a lock on it would be ours Chat Icon

Re: Roman locked himself in his room

I would have freaked!
When we changed all the doorknobs we purposely didn't put locks on bedrooms besides ours.

OMG have you ever read the book

Operating Instructions: A journal of my son's first year - by Anne Lamott?

The same thing happens in the book with a 2 year old.
