room setup help

Anyone good at furniture placement and room design? We're not thrilled where the furniture is. Any ideas on what we should move where?
DH wants to eventually get rid of the futon, but I said not right away.
Don't mind the mess. It's still a work in progress. And we'll probably get a darker shelf to replace the one on the wall.

(of course Bonnie had to get in the pic too)

Re: room setup help

I would flip flop the dresser and the crib so that you see the crib when you walk into the room and you know that's the focus, then have the futon off to the side. I would also push the futon flush to that wall it's next to.

Re: room setup help

It would be easier if you take a pic from the doorway but freom what I can see-I would put the crib on an angle in the corner where the dresser is(next to the window. Then move the futon to the opposite wall and work from there. Nice furniture!

Re: room setup help

The last pic is actually taken from the doorway. The wall where the door is is dead space since there is a hallway where the closets are (and bathroom). Then there is a small wall in between the closets and the door where a TV is.
