Re: rosh hashanah menu
I'm not doing it, but supposed to bring a dessert. Just gotta figure out what to make so hoping this post will give me ideas...
I'm sure the usual... Brisket, turkey, matzo ball soup, potato kugel, veggies, etc. Going to DH's aunt first night and my fam second so figured I'd make enough to bring to both.

rosh hashanah menu
Soup, brisket, chic soup, vege, potatoe, roasted chicken. Mom makes chopped liver or as DS calls it, "Bubbe's special peanut butter". He's 4 and eats it, we don't correct him!

Re: rosh hashanah menu
we always do fresh sliced apples and honey for an appetizer type thing when we slice the challah.
we are doing matzoh ball soup for the first course.
for the main dish we will have a roasted turkey with applesauce.
I also make a challah and noodle kugel/pudding.
for vegetables, I'll do steamed string beans and an israeli salad.
for dessert I usually make cookies, like raspberry walnut streusel cookies (easy and delicious) and also something with apples.
