rosy cheeks. is this normal?

the last few days DS (2.5 months) has had very rosy cheeks and when he cries, the skin around his eyes also gets a rosy color. he doesn't have a fever and doesn't appear to be uncomfortable.

he has been spitting up his formula a lot as well, but i don't know if these are related. i don't want to call the doctor over something that doesn't appear to be medically harmful.

could this be an allergy? he has no other symptoms and doesn't seem to be hurting at all. could it just be his age?

neither DH nor i get rosy cheeks, even when we're cold

Emma gets rosey cheeks when she is hot. I know that doesn't help you, but I hope you figure out what it's from.

ETA: is he getting teeth? Maybe that's it? DD still spits up when she is getting new teeth in and she's 17 months.

I'm not sure maybe he is just crying so hard he gets himself all flushed? How long do his cheeks stay red? Try dabbing a cool cloth over them when they're red and see if it helps. I would def. run in by his ped. if you're concerned.

My son is 14 weeks and has the same thing. I was just wondering today what it was. I think his cheeks are red because he hands in his mouth and then rubs his face. The salvia is causing "chapping" I think. I see around his eyes get red when he's crying AND tired. It's one of the signs he's tired.
