RP: Where can we buy a wool runner for our stairs?
I am in NJ...what major stores/dept stores sell wool runners for stairs? I have no idea where to look...

My parents got one at Home Depot in LI
(they had to order it of course, but they will cut what you choose into a runner for you)

places that sell carpet remnants are a good place to look. They are the smaller peices that are left over from the large rolls, so they can customize the size and bind the carpet for you. They are in perfect condition, but usually priced well b/c they are smaller pieces.

If you are close to Paramus area I would say take a drive down route 17 and route 4. There are alot of home stores and carpet stores in that area.

Home Depot will cut and bind carpeting for you. We had them create a runner for us out of hotel grade carpeting. Good Luck  Image Attachment(s):

def go up route 17 theres tons of places.

There's a big carpet place on Route 10 in Livingston, can't think of the name right now, but I have to drive past it tomorrow night, I'll make a note of it. I may also have the name of a place in Short Hills or Watchung from DH's boss in my work email. I'll have to check that tomorrow.
