rs of mineola
Please...I am new here I am a patient of a office affiliated with RS of mineola/
I am assuming its one and the same. I went there to have my retrieval and then to have three put back.
I want to hear these stories about these people.
I just left a Plainview doctor a few years back because he lost his license and is never allowed to practice again.
I all of a sudden became infertile and will never know if its because my daughters c-section went very wrong.
I have involved history with that where I know something was wrong.
Anyhow/ I was referred to them, heard only good things and now I am scared shi-tless.
I am hoping its not like malpractice things and I am tired of picking all the winners...please let me know.
I already am up to awaiting prego test and I am nervous now why I read all these things...

A bunch of women have used RS or NY in Stonybrook and Mineola. I don't believe the practice is negligent in it's medical abilities. I do remember a lot of women were very unhappy about the wait times and the poor bedside manner. They also "seem" to have one protocol which isn't always the best for every women.
I hope it all works out.

I am a success story...I now have a beautiful 10 month old daughter. I went to their Stony Brook office and didn't have the experience some of the women had at the Mineola office.

I'm on bedrest right now from my first IVF. I can't get into the details as I'm only up for a couple of minutes but I went to RSofNY and everything that Shamrock said is true.
It took them 4 months to get me to ovulate and then they put me on an outdated protocol for my PCOS. This was confirmed by my second RE, NSUH. Turns out the protocal was outdated since the 1970's!!!!!!
I had two IUI's with them and left. I only saw my doc once during the first four months of going there, several of the nurses were rude, they made me pay a $50 fee for the injections class, which to this day I do not understand.
A lot of unnecessary early morning bloodwork and sono appointments.
The day I went o pick up my records there were at least two dozen other envelopes of women's records awaiting to be picked up
There are two women from these boards who got pregnant with them, both on their second IUI. From their posts, I surmise they both got their period regularly and did not have any complicated symptoms. Please do a search and look back at previous posts.
I wasted 7 months there, as well, as several others on this board. Many of us have transferred to other places, many at NSUH in Manhassset. I find the level of care there excellent. You ALWAYS see a doctor, even for blood and sono.
I wouldn't let my friend go to RSofNY... I think for most it's a precious waste of time.
Back I go to bedrest.

I dont think that the practice does anything even close to malpractice like.
I didnt like them for reasons of the DRS not being personable or remembering me after 11 months with them, not listening to my wishes as far as care goes. The LONG wait times etc.
I didnt feel my protocol was right for me, so I moved on when they were unwilling to listen to me.
But I dont think they are THAT horrible or on the scale you are worrying about

I have to agree with the Theresa and Donna, the place isn't horrible but I found them to be very text book in their protocol, which was not helpful to me or my condition.
I also did not like the superlong wait time at appts or the general attitude of the staff.
I have moved on to clinics in NYC and I'm very happy.

I agree. I wasnt unhappy for any clinical reasons, but their office management and orgranization is poor.

I agree with all of the above and want to add that they were not agressive at all in their protocol with me. They also misdiagnosed my dh and said his SA's, 3 of them, were normal. I changed RE's and they found in their 1st SA that he had low motility and so we moved on to IVF which was successful.
